CCR - What software and updates do i need ?

For CCR there some updates and software needed.
Here is a list for what you need.

For server 2003 you need these updates:

[link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=6c095bba-6100-4ec9-9c54-6450b0212565&displaylang=en]dotnet updates 32bit[/link] of [link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=a4f52459-dfe5-4bc3-8f7f-aa688879b1dc&displaylang=en]dotnet updates 64bit[/link]
You must use all three updates.
You need Microsoft J#2.0

For server 2008 you need these updates:

dotnetfx35

This is done by adding a role and selecting .Net 3.5
Then you need updates for .Net

If the customer has a SQL server (2005 or 2008) then you can use that.
If the customer does not have a SQL server then you can use SQL Express which is free.
SQL 2008 Express is recommended, it has a bigger database.
Instead of 4Gb it is 10Gb.

SQL Express Management tool is very handy for backup or restore.
Backup is built in into later versions of CCR.
Restore needs to be done by a management tool.
