Imaging a BCM 50 Hard Disk

Compatible SSD devices by ucxguy
Posted: 9 Dec 15

SSD devices recognized by the BCM50 motherboard:
  • Intel X25-V - 40 GB - EOL
  • Intel X25-M - 40 GB or 80 GB - EOL
  • Crucial V4 - 64 GB or 128 GB - EOL
  • Corsair Force LS - 60 GB or 120 GB
There is a decent chance that other SSD devices with the Phison PS3108 controller will also work, but I tested only Corsair Force LS. See http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1759468 for more info.

Note: For BCM50 images, you need a bit less than 40 GB. Therefore, the smaller capacity devices are all that you need, but the bigger ones work, too.
