What type of cable do I need to connect to devices? by curlycord

Connection type on the device:

Startalk A,B & C - 25 Pin Female Serial Port
Startalk Mini - 25 Pin Female Serial Port
Startlak Flash - 25 Pin Female Serial Port
Remote Access Device (RAD) -25 Pin Female Serial Port

Remote Access Device (RAD) Global/FastRAD - 9 Pin Female Serial Port
Station Message Detail Recorder (SMDRX) - 9 Pin Female Serial Port
Computer Telephony Adpator (CTA) Model 1XX - 9 Pin Female Serial Port

Norstar Applications Modules (NAM) - 9 Pin Male Serial Port


Cables required based on laptop having a male serial port:
RS-232- 25 pin Male to 9 pin Female Straight Through
RS-232- 9 pin Male to 9 pin Female Straight Through
RS-232- 9 pin Female to 9 pin Female Null Modem

For laptops without a serial port you can use 25 or 9 pin Serial to USB adapters.
