Bullets Change to Something Else by Garridon
Posted: 3 Apr 01

Ever do a presentation in PowerPoint 2000 and load it up on a laptop, only to find that all those bullets changed to question marks?  This problem affects both PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.

This problem commonly occurs when you try to view a 2000 file in Office 97.  It results when you use some of the fancier bullets that 97 doesn't have, such as Webdings or Picture bullets.

Solution:  If you aren't sure what version of office will be used to view the file, use standard bullets from Wingdings only.
