Useful v$ Views
Version information of Oracle:
   select * from v$version;
Database Name\Log Mode:
   select name, log_mode from v$database;
DataFiles in Database:  
   select name from v$datafile;
Control Files:          
   select name from v$controlfile;
Redo Log Groups:        
   select group#, sequence#, members from v$log;
Redo Log Members:       
   select group#,status,member from v$logfile;
Archive Log Info:       
   archive log list;

V$SGA      - Shows SGA Information
V$INSTANCE - Shows instance information.
V$PROCESS  - Shows process information.
V$BGPROCESS- Shows background process information.
