DISTINCTIVE RING ON ROUTES

HOW CAN I SET DRNG WITH FTC PKG 125? by nortic
Posted: 3 Oct 03

DISTINCTIVE RING FAQ:

I FOUND THE NTP'S TO BE VERY CONFUSSING.

REL 25.40
PACKAGES 74,DRNG AND 125,FTC

NOT USING PKG 185

REFER TO ADMIN NTP LD 56 FOR TABLES.

1)SELECT YOUR CADANCE FROM MACD MASTER CADANCE TABLE
AND ENTER AT THE NDR2 PBX PROMPT(SEE BELOW)
DEFAULT RING CADANCE FOR INTERNAL IS 1
DEFAULT RING CADANCE FOR DRNG IS 2(THIS IS TO SHORT
  AND TO QIUCK ALMOST CONSTANT)
I USED CADANCE 4 WHICH IS A GOOD DOUBLE RING
AND SEEMS TO WORK WELL WITH FAX MACHINES

2) SET YOUR RDB LD 16 FOR:
   DRNG =YES  (DISTINCTIVE RING)
NDRI =2   (NETWORK DISTINCTIVE RING INDEX)

TEST ALL TYPES OF CALLS INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL
FOR PROPER OPERATION.

WARNING: DO NOT MOTIFY MASTER CADANCE TABLE
ENTRIES AS THEY AFFECT ALL TONES AND RINGS
