php & Apache on Windows

LoadModule php4_module c:/php4/sapi/php4apache2.dll not found by csniffer
Posted: 6 Sep 03

This is for Windows only , if the problem is only when this line is added to the Apache httpd.conf file check that you have downloaded the zip file (php-4.3.3-win32.zip) and not the self-installing (php-4.3.3-installer.exe) file. if you have downloaded the self-installer, when you add the line LoadModule php4_module c:/php4/sapi/php4apache2.dll you will get an error like this LoadModule php4_module c:/php4/sapi/php4apache2.dll cannot load  the specified module could not be found . You must uninstall Apache through the control panel > Add/Remove programs then download the php-4.3.3-win32.zip file (the version number may change). The reason for this is that the sell-installing php does not have support for Apache. An excellent web site if you are having problems is  http://www.thesitewizard.com/archive/php4install.shtml
