How do I open a new browser window from a link? by madhavanm
Posted: 23 May 00

There are two ways of doing this.
1) Through HTML : When you select a link give the target as '_blank'. This will take the vistor to a new browser window. If you want to open a new browser window through a framed site, then you will have to give the target as'_top'. This will take you to a     new to p level window.
2) Through JavaScript: When you write your HTML code (this is best done by hand)
use this script,
<a href="yourFile.htm" target="popup" onclick="window.open('yourFile.htm', 'targetName','width=W pixels, height=H pixels'); return false">yourLink</a>
