How do I create a Web Part from a URL? by einarsen
Posted: 6 May 02 (Edited 4 Jun 03)

To create a new web part that points to an existing URL, do the following:

1) Use IE to open the site
    Mine uses FQDN so it's:
    http://sharepoint.domain.com/project
If yours is local it will be something like:
    http://computer-name/project

2) Log in as a user with Coordinator privileges

3) Click on Content in the top-right menu

4) Click on Add a Web Part

Go from there...
