SSI (Server Side Includes)

How do I set up my server to use SSI? by Wullie
Posted: 3 May 02 (Edited 23 Jun 02)

This explains how to set up your server to use SSI (Server Side Incudes.)

First, add the option "Includes" in the options for the directory that you want to use..

You should also have

AddType text/html .shtml
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml

The .shtml part can be changed to another type of file but then ALL files with that extension will be parsed by the server for SSI, this will slow the server down for files that do not have any SSI.

You can also define this on a per domain basis by adding this code to a htaccess file.

Hope this helps

Wullie
