I've tried Javacoolsoft MRU blaster, but that didn't work. I've searched the registry, but couldn't find anything. Where on earth is it? I've got a customer asking me, and I can't seem to find it. :(

Thanks. Unfortunately your suggestions didn't seem to work. :( I did find this: and even then Microsoft wasn't completely correct it seems. Ah well. I did an ugly hack that seemed to work.

Some things, like Access, store their MRU in multiple places, and there is an MRU list outside of the Common subkey in the Microsoft article, at least on my system anyway. I got the user squared away though.

I am curious as to what version of Office you are using.

I think the earlier KB you cited is just not very clear about the MRU locations.

I do like the suggestion that once cleared, export the registry keys. Then just combine them into a .cmd or .bat file using regedit /s filename.reg to create your own cleaner for later use.

Thanks bcastner. I was going to give you a star, but tek-tips seems to be having some trouble right now so consider this a virtual star. ^_^

I have been using the free version of iISystem Wiper, clears the recently saved list for me. I am using Office version 2000.
