i need to write some text in to a txt file and save it as a file name!?
any suggestions?

Open "C:\TEST.TXT" For Output As #hFileHandle
Write #hFileHandle, "THIS IS A TEST"
Close #hFileHandle

How do I write a file that will use the current date as the file name?

Such as:

Test09052001.txt

Also try the Print command as the Write adds quotes around the string being written while the other does not.
