ActiveX contol wrapping C API

I have an existing DLL which provides a C API. One particular API call provides an MFC dialog for data capture and other functions are present for manipulating this data once captured. I would like to wrap this API in a downloadable ActiveX control for use within internet pages. Basically i want to provide the MFC dialog docked within the page.

Is this possible ? Where can I start ? What other obtions might there be ?
