dynaSight 4.0

dynaSight 4.0

(OP)
Is anyone having any success with dynaSight 4.0?  We upgraded from 3.5 to 4.0 earlier this week and now every time I run a convert script to change the database connection for an application, dynaSight crashes.

The support guys tried to blame my convert script, saying that I need the name of every cube in our database listed.  I believe the only thing I need in the convert script is:

Connection: oldconnection.isc     newconnection.isc
Database: olddatabase     newdatabase

Running this script works for 5-10 .isd's at a time, but when I select the entire directory, dynasight crashes.

We're connecting to a TM1 OLAP database on MS Adv Server 2000 and XP clients.

Please help!!

RE: dynaSight 4.0

Hi,

you're correct, what you habe written in your convert script.
But the better way for converting a complete application,
is to create a convert file with all cube/tables ...

and then running over all documents.
