Let me start by saying I don't know much about Fox for Dos or R&R.  I have a Fox for Dos 2.5 program that currently calls reports created in R&R Report Writer for DOS v.5.  Fox uses a command something like 'Run/0 runtime rrunin 5' to do this.  I need to convert to R&R Report Writer for Windows v.2 so the reports will print in Windows 2000 Professional.  (They won't print now that the person upgraded from Win98 to 2000).

Anyway, my question is, do I need to change the Fox program to call the reports differently for R&R for Windows?  I understand I don't have to convert the old R&R library to actually run the reports in the Windows version, but can I use the existing 'rrunin.dbf' or do I need to use the 'rrwrunin.dbf'?  Do I need to use the RRWRUN.exe in any way?

Any help would be appreciated.

guess you may have solved your problem? Are u working in htl?

From my experience, the fox program should have been using those rr runtime to write program to call reports written in R&R.

To set printer to print report from the DOS program, you may need to first check if there is any place in the Fox program that allow you to change the printer which is actually linked to read r&r printer setup using c:/>rrsetup where you can set your printer dtls.

Prior to doing the rrsetup, make sure that each person click on the icon running the DOS program is also set with connection to LPT 1 or 2 etc. using net use printer if using win2k...where your rrsetup printer is pointing to LPT1 or 2 etc. And in the report double check if the printer setup and select the right one with the connection.

Hard to explain in very details to you here. But hope this will help.
