Anyone know what causes this error when trying to run any report?

Symposium - Call Center Ops - Reports Manager has
Encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
For the inconvenience.

This seems to happen to just one of the managers in our call center.  I can log into his system and run reports fine, so it leads me to believe that it's something wrong with his profile.

What's the Symposium Version?
Have you installed the latest PEP/SU?
What Operating System is the Manager's PC?

Does he have rights to write to the hard drive on his pc?  If not, give his profile that ability.

We're on Symposium 4.0, client is 4.0 rev 5 with latest client patch (10).  All of our managers are given full access rights to c:\program files\nortel networks.  Workstation operating system is XP, SP1.

It was working for him for a while, but then just quit the other day....

- there may be additional information on the server in the alarm monitor that coincides with this error
- check the workstation event viewer when he is logged in; for Symposium Express,  if you are seeing errors indicating problems with Crystal, then there are registry entries missing in HKCU for the user and the reports will be dorked.
- for Symposium Express, Nortel says to load the client software for the user with admin rights, but the reg entries write to HKCU, so any other user with admin rights will get errors, specifically tied to Crystal reg entries in HKCU for the client. I got around this by running a merge of the HKCU entries when the user logs in - which, BTW, eliminates the need for the user to have admin rights.

Have you try to re-install the client? if not then maybe reinstalling is a good idea

Don't forget to do a clean uninstallation (remove sybase and registry values from the client machine) before you reinstall the software. Also, you might want to backup the current configuration using Data Migration Wizard so that you can keep the original settings.
