I recently purchased a new Micron Millenia with MS 98se with IE installed. After Netscape was installed, crashes and lockups started occuring. What is the best solution to this problem. Web page authoring is being done on this machine and both IE & Netscape are needed for viewing. Help.

Try disabling some of the applications running in the background. It could be something that's loading in memory that's causing the problem. You can use msconfig from the run line.Choose selective startup from the general tab.You can then remove all the checks below selective startup and click ok.After you restart your screen it's going to look like you are safe mode.Try to use the browser and see if it locks up.If it doesnt ,just start adding checks in msconfig until you find the culprit.

When your machine crashes does a Netscape Quality feedback window pop up???

Disable this agent. I've had lots of crashes with this agent ON.

Start-Programs-Netscape Communicator-Utilities-Netscape Quality Feedback Agent

Next-Next-Turn Agent Off.
