I have run WP8 & 10 simultaneously for some time, but when total system failure forced me to reinstall W.oz 2k and all programs, I decided to risk just going with 10.

I could not with both programs running access or open any address book in 10, but it seems that I can create one..as I have. I just can't get to it to create others. Frankly I would just as soon run from the Corel 8 address book in merge processes, but I would like to at least try to use the system as it was conceived.

Using the new address book option allows me to "create" an address book, but this book will not show when I try to open an existing address book. Attempting to open the address book interface via Word Perfect gives the error: "Error creating database."
followed by the announcement that this program could not be run because the other program is busy. The "other program" appears to be Word Perfect.

I am about to download SP 1&2 with the hope that these might help. If anyone has experience with this, I would like very much to hear it.

Answer to the conundrum: My OEM appears to be an early version of WP office. Installation of SP 3 solved the problem.

Comment to answer to the conundrum: After comparing it to the old address book, it's not worth the trouble. It's a Paradox database with the same bad form (interface) that Corel uses for .dat files.

I notice that 11 works with outlook.
