select list question

select list question

(OP)
Hi,

I have a general question about sql and I dont even know if it is possible. I want to select * from a table BUT i want to select * minus a column or two.
ie
select <table_name>.* -<column_name>... from <table_name> ....

In my mind this should be possible but I cant find anything about it anywhere. Thanks in advance.....

Steve.

RE: select list question

what kind of database are you using...i dont think there is such thing called minus column names ...

The best and efficient way would be to list all the column names you want in the select list
