Uninstall EDM Software from a Solaris 7 Client

Uninstall EDM Software from a Solaris 7 Client

(OP)
we are moving our backup from EMC EDM to Veritas Netbackup
(it's a management decision)

i am facing some problems backing up Solaris 7 Clients which used to be EDM Clients; Netbackup times out with errorcode 41 "network connection timed out" but I don't think it is a network problem, I can ping and telnet the Solaris 7 client in the meantime; Solaris 9 Clients, which never were EDM Clients work fine.

I want to completeley uninstall EDM on my Solaris 7 Clients, what files do I need to delete/remove/edit?

RE: Uninstall EDM Software from a Solaris 7 Client

Is your server running 100 full duplex? sometimes when the server is set to auto negociate with the switch we see that problem. Make sure that you 100 full duplex both sides, the server and the switch.
Good Luck!

yep, this fixed the problem; I opened a call at my service contract and I got the same hint there, too.
