Hello

Simple question for you guys.

How do you change a mail box name in Exchange 2000?
We had a young lady get married and I wanted to change her last name. I got her email account changed, her login stayed the same (profile reasons) and she shows up in the global address list with the changed name, But I can't seem to find where to cahnge the mailbox name itself.

I looked in the store and I can't change it there.

Any help

bob

In AD, right click on the user and select "Rename".

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

I did that and it renamed the account but inside the information store it still has her old name? It doesn't seem to have any effect its just baffling

Ok, maybe I misunderstood. If you're trying to change her email address, you go to AD/Properties/Email Address and just change the SMTP address.

(sorry, hit the button too soon).

If the account isn't set to automatically update, you have to manually change it.
