I should have known better, looked too easy...

I have 1 AD server and 1 NT 4 BDC that is my Exchange 5.5 server.

My new server has Windows 2003 server on it.  I started the install procedure for Ex2003, followed the 3 phase approach the CD wizard walked you through.  Did forest prep, domain prep, dcdiag (fixed DNS issues), netdiag, installed ADC but not all of my accounts replicated.  I went ahead with the excahnge 2003 install figuring I could just bring the mailboxes over.  Wrong....

Exchange 2003 won't even start up.  Services will not start and I am missing AD accounts.

After my PDC was upgraded to W2K (1.5 years ago)shouldn't any newly created accounts be AD accounts?  whether or not they were created on the W2K server or the NT4 server?  I suspect this may be the problem.

Any suggestions?

Matt

A Security identifier (SID) for the associated Windows NT account (Assoc-NT-Account) of a mailbox could not be found; the ADC may not be able to replicate.

THis error appeared when I installed ADC after uninstalling Excahnge 2003 and all connectors.

Can anyone help?  My log has a huge list of users that cannot replicate
