I have a bunch of pdf reports that i need to automate downloading relevant data from.

For example there are tables with different balances per column on the pdf. Are there any data mining programs where i can use the formated text extracted from the pdf file and use that to smart search through and pull out specific numbers?

Thanks

Check out www.datawatch.com They have a pdf reader called Redwing that might help you out. I have used another software by them, and it is a wonderful program.

Also what you can do is extract and convert the data to text files (i.e. data seperated by commas)- these are readable by almost all data mining programs
