Decease size of user databank file?

Decease size of user databank file?

(OP)
I have a databank (MYTABLES.DBF) that are quite big (20 GB), but most of the data that used to be in the database are now deleted, but the size of the databank file does never decrease.
How can I decrease the size of it?

I think there is about 200 MB of data left, and I want to copy all database files to a CD, but that's impossible when one file is 20 GB.

I don't want to create a new database and then copy data from the old one into the new new.

RE: Decease size of user databank file?

You can take an online backup of your databank:

START BACKUP;
CREATE BACKUP IN 'xxx.dbf' FOR DATABANK yyy;
COMMIT BACKUP;

Then stop the database server and replace your original databank file with xxx.dbf
