Simple question: Is it possible to connect to a Solomon IV database using MS SQL 7 or 2000. Do I need a special ODBC driver or is there a compatible one in SQL?

Thanks for the help,

Solomon IV versions 4 and above are written on MSSQL 7 and 2000.  Version 2.06 was written on Scalable SQL, an older OEM version of Pervasive SQL. Version 2.5 was written on MSSQL 6.5. What version are your referring to?

The file to set up sql says that it is:
Scalable SQL ver. 3.01
Local Engine: Microkernal: 6.15
Btrieve: 6.15

Here is the situation. We are not running any Btrieve files. We stopped using the Solomon DB in 2001. We are going to be audited soon and would like to pull the data out of the Solomon db and put it into MS SQL. From what I am told we do not have a machine that will run the Solomon DB anymore (wrong operating systems I think).

Thanks for any help that you can,

Kim

Ok now I understand. SSQL 3.01 used OEM ODBC drivers from Pervasive. I have the drivers contained in Solomon's fast forward tool that they used to upgrade to version 4. I can email you the file or upload it to the location of your choice. Please email me your information

Thanks Jay. You can email it to me at kpoellot@yahoo.com. Please zip the file first.
