winspool error when printing r&r report from vfp

winspool error when printing r&r report from vfp

(OP)
Does anyone know what causes a winspool error on a Windows XP machine when running a VFP program that 'runs' a report created by R&R?

I've also tried using the shellexecute command, but I'm getting the same result.

It works on a Windows 2000 machine.

ver. 10.0.012 of R&R
ver. 6 SP 5 of VFP

Thanks
David

RE: winspool error when printing r&r report from vfp

Dear David,
I was wondering if you resolved your winspool error on XP ?
I also used Windows 2000 before without problem, like you.

If you found something, let me know as I've tried everything already !
I am using a 24-pin epson printer.

Thank you for your help,

Lionel,

I did not get it to work. I gave up and re-created the report in VFP's report designer.

Hi dc509,
do any of your reports work under XP or do you always get the winspool error?

You didn't mention the type of printer or the version of R&R and VFP, either.

From initial message: ver. 10.0.012 of R&R, ver. 6 SP 5 of VFP

The printers are HP5SI, HP Laserjet 2100, Xerox Phaser 850.

Basically, I gave up. I haven't tried any more from R&R. I develop all the reports in VFP now. VFP reports run much faster.

David
