OWA on external host?

Is there a way to run OWA from an external server hosted somewhere else?

To clarify...if my exchange server is on the private LAN, can I have someone else host the OWA server that has no connection to my network at all?

They'd have to be able to make some kind of connection to your LAN or they wouldn't be able to retreive messages....

Besides, with Ex2003 I believe OWA must live on an Exchange server box...
