RE: LINC Tutorial or Books

I am IBM Mainframe user. I am new to UNISYS Mainframe. Can anyone tell me what are the softwares and Hardwares used in Unisys Mainframe environment. Also where can I find the study material for the same.

Thanks in advance.

RE: LINC Tutorial or Books

Hi,
There are very few or none tutorials available on LINC except the manuals given by Unisys + one book written by a Robert Lee on USING LINCII.

Unisys manuals are good now with simple to easy to understand sections. Probably, LDA - LINC Design Assistant manuals would be helpfull to understand since most of the features come in Menu mode.

Other than this, LINC emphasis on design and suggests to have as many as common routines (Global Logics - Performable).

Let me see my library for common design adopted in a LINC environment.

If possible, can you include your location in case i happen to come across this book written by Robert Lee. Though, much have changed, it provides a valuable commentary on function of many commands, ispecs etc.

Thank you, Arul Varman
