Arcserve6 & NT

I seem to have a problem with Arcserve completing a backup. Using a Sony SDT 9000 TD and have checked term, term power, etc., and the backup will simply not complete. Tapes have been changed, data backup size is not very big. Could it be the NT native tape driver causing a problem when Arcserve loads its tape driver? Any help would be appreciated.

Arcserve needs to have exclusive access to the tape drive, so any other NT driver would interfere.
