NvQTwk or NvCplDaemon Error
|
|
I'm getting the following error on startup:
NvCplDaemon Registry(Machine Run) RUNDLL32.EXE NvQTwk, NvCplDaemon initialize.
I have reinstalled the drives 3 times now but to no success. Any suggestions? |

These are Nvidia video accerator libraries. Go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest official drivers. |
|
I have downloaded the latest drivers. Do I have to uninstall the old drives first? How is that done? |

No need to uninstall the old ones, really. New drivers should overwrite the old ones when you run the Nvidia executable, but if you run into a problem go to http://www.guru3d.com and download the "Detonator Destroyer". In the Windows Display Properties, go to Advanced then Adapter. Choose Select from List and select the Generic VGA version drivers (dated 2000). Restart when prompted and run the Destroyer progam. Then install the new drivers fresh and post back you results! |

That did the trick, thank you. |
