LanDesk 6.5 and Active Directory??

LanDesk 6.5 needs the Browser service in order to work. If your browser is not working can LanDesk 6.5 still get a list of all computers in the “Network View” using Active Directory? This is on Windows 2000 Servers. We have noticed that when our browser went down from the Network View you only see what Network Neighborhood sees and nothing more. I thought LanDesk could use Active Directory to look for machines and to install software etc….
