I am studying for Oracle 8i Certification!  I have Win XP what do i need to install PL/SQL.  Will Oracle 8i work.

even though the installation information for Oracle 8i does not specify if you can install 8i on WinXP that does not mean that you cannot.  WinXP, as you know, was built on Win2000; hence, you should not have any problems.  I have installed 8i on XP and have had no problems related to install.  

Suggestion:  if you are going to install it configure the SGA to run on the smallest amount of memory possible (if your taking Microsoft advice and using 128mb RAM).  If you are just practicing with 8i this should suffice.  However, if you are going to build up the database and run some large select statements and order-bys then you should consider 1. either breaking down the statements to allow for the RAM restrictions, or invest in some more RAM
