Can anyone tell me how to disable the r-click on a Win98 taskbar?
Our clients use only one progam and I am trying to disable as many "toys" as possible.
Thanx Alt255, I did use your disable the r-click desktop trick...

TIA,

Tyredtek

I have not tried this with Win98, but it works for NT.  Here is the registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoTrayContextMenu=1

according to my info :"If set to 1, menus do not display upon right click of the taskbar, start button, clock, or taskbar application icons. The entry is only available for NT 4.0 with SP 2 or greater."

it's worth a shot

Sorry I couldn't help you with that one, Tyredtek. The only thing I could find was a key to remove the taskbar and it only worked on the original Win95.

Thanks for posting that reg key, David. I'll certainly add it to my toolbox!
