this version of informix was in an Altos server with SCO Xenix, it works fine.

in other place a new server has installed SCO UNIX 5.04, with a copy of the same informix system, it seems that works fine but, when you try to make modifications to the programs can“t compile, I have to go back to Altos server, make the modifications an compile again with no problem.

This solution is temporal(?), how can I resolve this??

Hi:

Do know why it won't compile?  Any error messages?  You don't say, but I'm assuming your programs are Informix 4GL

My guess is the new unix system doesn't have a "C" compiler installed.  If you're running the compiled version of 4GL, you need a "C" compiler.

Regards,

Ed
