AutoCAD R14 Hotkeys - VERY SLOW Performance - I Need Advice

I have had hotkeys setup in AutoCAD for quite some time and recently recently if you incorrectly spell one of them it seems to take about 10 seconds before you can start typing again. Everything else works perfectly even when incorrectly typing in snap commands which i did as a check.
It's just the hotkeys which are setup.

If anyone knows why AutoCAD is doing this could they please enlighten me on what is wrong. I'm currently running AutoCAD R14 on a Pentium Celeron 500 with more than enough RAM, with Win98 Version 2 OS If that's any help.
