I have been working for 5+ yrs as a programmer and want ot change my career to a network security specialist (stop hackers and crackers etc..) I have a BS in Information Systems and a MS in Information Management. I have been an employee in a large global insurance company.
I have been searching for a job in this field and have been disappointed in the requirements to go in this field. I have a CNA 3.1 (got it 7yrs ago) and have not updated it because i felt that microsoft would become prevelent in the future and i was correct. all the req. ask for different certifications and i heard different things on the way i should go... does anyone care to share on how I can go into this field in regards to the certifications and if which i should get first. Or do i need any of this being that i can get a job because i am in the computer field (programmer to be exact). I have the basic concepts since i have done freelancing in networking and created a home network. I would appreciate any responses.
Thanks in advance.... |
