Have somebody made evaluation of Rose against other products?
I have found that Visual UML much more better then Rose. It has more graphic features, more close to UML itself and much more cheaper. Visual UML has Greate Use Case description, Object diagramm and much more flexible in Sequence diagram.
Does somebody find in Rose that nobody have it?
I have found that in Rose is very difficult to make diagramm looks like you exactly want it to look. Too many limitations. Also difficult to explane general idea when it is not exactly a code and you want to use different graphic objects (different lines, arrows, notes, borders etc.) to make it easy to understand. And this is not a UML limitation for example Visual UML has it all.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

How much is visual UML?

1 license $500 USD
1 year maintenance something between $100-200 USD

They don't use flexlm like Rose :)
During our 2 month evaluation we have chosen Visual UML.
Visual UML support group has very quickly replyed to us on all our questions and suggestions. It looks like they are care about customers and their product and really trying to improve it.
Rose looks more powerfull especially in part of code generations, this can be usefull for company who works a lot with user-interface, but this possibbility leads to more limmitation of UML.
This is not an advertising of Visual UML, this is just results of our evaluation. I will be glad if somebody will argue with me.

try http://www.visualuml.com/

prices range from $500 to over $1000 depending on what modules you require.

i must admit that i prefer rational rose though at this point in time i am still attempting to learn its many features - once a model is well under way it can be represented in many different views at the click of button - you can change from a standard UML view/text to BOOCH etc.

Its reverse engineering capability is very useful and i think thorough, along with code produced. documentation from rational is very thorough and i find the support quite good too.
sounding like a salesman! but you can get the fully working eval version from http://www.rational.com
