RPC Error: Authentication Error

I'm running 6.1.1 on Win2K SP2. I've got a couple of clients that used to be NT4 clients, but have recently been rebuilt on new hardware and Win2k server. They kept the same names. Here's what I'm getting:

save: RPC Error: Authentication error
save: Cannot open save session with chi2kmb01.xxx.com

Has anyone seen this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I had something similar happen. The error turned out to be a DNS problem. Networker uses a reverse lookup as part of its authentication.
To diagnose the problem:

From the client:
[ul][li]Ping the client.[/li]
[li]Ping the server.[/li]
[li]nslookup the server.[/li]
[li]nslookup the client.[/li][/ul]

From the server:
[ul][li]ping the server.[/li]
[li]ping the client.[/li]
[li]nslookup the server.[/li]
[li]nslookup the client.[/li][/ul]
