Is it just me or is there no way to draw dotted lines using the line tool. Anyone know if this is something Marcomedia is adding to the next version?

Thank.

You don't use flash by any chance do you?

I have looked as well and can find no workaround that gives just a dotted line - sorry.

Actually there is a way... select the line tool then in the stroke panel set the stroke to Basic/Hard Line then set the texture to grid7 at 100%. This will draw a pretty decent dotted line. you can play around with some of the other textures and perhaps come up with something even better.

Keep in mind that the hard line has to be 4-6 pixels. more or less will not work

For future reference there is a way to create your own custom line settings.
