I have a PDF file with Tabulated data which has to be captured into a database.Is there a way out (using XML etc) apart from diredt data entry

I think the PDF-format is hard to "convert". You would need some sort of scanning software to convert from binary pdf to text.

When you have it on text format you can try to make insert statements of it, one way is to use Excel. When you have a fil with inserts, like:

insert into tablex (column1, column2, column3) values (val1, val2, val3);

you can run the QBE tool in Mimer and run the commands.
