I just bought one of these with three phones off Ebay for my new house.  Any tricks, tips, gotchas?  I've found alot of manuals in PDF format on the net, so I should be able to get it up and running.

Thanks
Rob

Hello
I suggest the first thing you do is get a new battery
installed in the memory module. If you don't the first
time you have a power failure all the programming will
return to default. There is no other way to back your
system or station programming.
The system is easy to use and program.
You did not say how versed you are in Lucent system
programming???. It helps to know.

Where did you find PDF's on Merlin?  I have searched, but I did not find any that were free.  I just need information on how to install and program a 4 port module into our Merlin Plus box.  I have no real experience with programming phones, only computers.

Avaya's website is getting better and better at providing documentation for their systems. A year or more ago it wasn't as useful but now things are coming together well. Try http://support.avaya.com/japple/css/japple?PAGE=avaya.css.PDDocList&temp.groupID=107529&temp.selectedFamily=129514&temp.selectedProduct=107607&temp.selectedBucket=all for details on the documents available for Merlin Plus systems.

Hope this helps!
