what is Voice Coms

Can someone give me a straight forward explanation to what Voice Coms is or does.

Ive just seen a job i wish to apply for and I can do everything it asks for, but it also says "Good knowledge of VoiceComs also required (Lucent exp preferred)".

I always find with all things IT, that once you are past the Jargon and the abbrieations its really quite simple. For all I know I could have the knowledge required for this position. I just dont know it in the correct jargon and terms.

Is it just RAS or TAPI or Telephone Systems or what?

Just guessing out of context but I would assume they abbreviated Voice Communications and they are talking about telephone systems.
