Can a call be transfered straight to a persons voicemail the Definity Audix is a R3. What happens at present is the attendant checks to see if the person called is available when they get the voicemail they go back to the caller to inform them of this. If the caller wants to leave a message they transfer the call back to the station. Sometimes the call is intercepted by someone in the pickup group.
I dont think the AUDIX is in CL mode.
Any Ideas?

if the DEFINITY AUDIX was setup the right way one of the ports of the AUDIX is called AUDIX TRANSFER. (you can verify this by displaying the huntgroup for AUDIX, here you see all the members with their name)
Usually this would be port 7.

Now transfer towards the extension number that is associated with port 7 and the you SHOULD be able to put in the extension number for the mailbox you would like to address by sending DTMF.

(probarbly the attendant has to push the <DON'T SPLIT> button before the console can send DTMF)

Please let me know if the information that was provided is helpfull.

An other way of doing it to use an automated attendant in Audix.

To do this you need to complete the following steps:

1) Create a fake station on the Definity with a coverpath to voicemail. The number of the station is the number you're gonna use to transfer people to voicemail.
2) Create a subscriber in Audix and set this one up as an automated attendant. You can do this on the second page of the subscriber form (Permissions,Type). This will give you an extra page. Here you can define the each starting number of the numberrange your using. Put the letter "e" under extension for each extension range and use call-answer as the treatment (eg. 1xxx; button 1, e, callanswer).  Don't forget to record a greating for this mailbox, otherwise it won't work! Record something like:"Enter the mailbox number for who you would like to leave a message for".

Now you can transfer a call to the automated attendant on the following way. press transfer, dial the extensionnumber of the AA, if you here the greeting press the mailboxnumber and press transfer again.

Easy!

Let me know if you have any difficulties!

Danny.
