Hunt Group Queue that Contains a Twinned Cell Phone

Hunt Group Queue that Contains a Twinned Cell Phone

Hunt Group Queue that Contains a Twinned Cell Phone

(OP)
All,

I have a customer with a Call Flow that Rings a Hunt Group that Contains an Extension that is Mobility Twinned to his cell phone.

This hunt group has Queued and Still Queued Greetings and Overflows that add additional member's.

The issue is, the Cell Phone Voicemail is picking up well before the call flow ends. Is there a way to pull the call away from the cell phone if it is not answered in say 4 rings? I see an option of "Mobile Answer Guard" - however this seems more geared to if the Twinned Cell Phone is off.

RE: Hunt Group Queue that Contains a Twinned Cell Phone

Turn the twinned cell's voicemail off, system can't tell the difference and you can't limit the twin time smile

amriddle01: Thank you for the input. I did set up a Test User in my system that is Mobile twinned to my cell phone. I set the "Mobile Answer Guard" to 40 seconds and it seemed to work. What happened was it rang my desk phone and cell phone, then the call pulled away from my cell phone and continued to ring my desk. I have the customer testing it on their end now. If it does not work I will have them turn VM off on the cell.

If it's out of signal or busy it will go to the cell's VM doing it that way....

RE: Hunt Group Queue that Contains a Twinned Cell Phone

If you set mobile answer guard to 40sec the IPO will disconnect the cell call if it is answered during those 40sec. Usually you set it to a few seconds so that IPO stops the connection if mailbox answers in case the phone is switched off or has no cell coverage.

RE: Hunt Group Queue that Contains a Twinned Cell Phone

You should always disable mobile VM if you have it in a huntgroup.

Next question you'll get from the customer is why the have a missed call on their mobile even though another user answered the call =)
