One-X portal No Presence and Multiple names of same user on Admin login

One-X portal No Presence and Multiple names of same user on Admin login

(OP)
Hi

Why would One-X portal be showing the same user multiple times on the Administrator page and users??

Each user is only created once on the Avaya IP Office 500 V2 on 9.1.7
I will be upgrading to 9.1.12 tonight.

Some of my users keep saying no presence can then presence server not found.

Plus I can't log in as these users on the :9443 web login. It says IP office not available, but if I log in as a user where presence works it logs in ok.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Phil

Is it a windows or linux 1XP ?
For this kind of issue, the best way to solve is to uninstall/install 1XP server. Be careful that doing this will revert all personalization to default.

Sounds like a messy setup.
First make sure ther are no conflicting names numbers etc. short names and long names may create conflicts as well.
Each name and number MUST be unique within the system, system name must be unique as well.
If you are sure there are no errors then uninstall One-X and reinstall.

Hi guys

Thank you for responding to my post.

We have a Linux machine with the Applications Server software installed on it.

I have checked the config and all users have unique names and unique extension numbers. I have got the name the same for name and full name eg. Chris Hayes in both, but surely that wouldn't affect it.

Even the Directory names of the users mobile are Chris Hayes mobile, so this is different too.

I have a VPN into site, so I could uninstall the one-x remotely and then reinstall it onto the Applications Server again.

Thanks

Phil

Thank you for your help on this one.

I was trying my best not to uninstall One-X Portal.

But after your recommendations I finally uninstalled and reinstalled this morning and the Presence appears to be working ok now.
When I Get all on users I now see every user instead of multiple copies of one user too.

I had one issue where 2 users had the same surname, but once I just put the first name it all worked.

Thanks again much appreciated
