Bip function IP Office

Bip function IP Office

(OP)
hello,

is there any feature that allow a user to provide a bip call on any IP Office model ,

example :

user 200 wants to bip the user 201 , user 201 receive a ring for 2 or 3 secondes

RE: Bip function IP Office

Why? (except for anoying 201)

RE: Bip function IP Office

Because 201 is the most annoying person in the office. Time to give them a taste of their own medicine.

RE: Bip function IP Office

Direct page/ extension page. Should play your 'bip'.

Nobody cares how you wear your hair, darling. Just keep doing it.

holdmusic34, i found a function on programmable button "Dial Paging" , i use it , its play the bip but i dont want the call to be picked up automatically , i want just to bip the user and disconnect the call without talking with the party

RE: Bip function IP Office

No, because that's silly.... Avaya don't have that as an option smile

RE: Bip function IP Office

There is a display message function from Soft Console. Depending on the target it will work even if the target is on a call, otherwise it triggers if they are idle or when next idle. No 'bip' but a display message.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

RE: Bip function IP Office

Press dial paging. wait for 'bip'. press speaker.

Nobody cares how you wear your hair, darling. Just keep doing it.

no solution except pressing speaker button ?

RE: Bip function IP Office

Try this

Short Code: *78*N#
Feature: Display Msg
Telephone Number: N";Bip"

seems to give a quick ring, displays the text and lights the MWI (but no voicemail) this is cleared by lifting the handset.

N is the extension number ?

Yes tell the customer he is being a tit, either that or he is deliberately trying to see how gullible you are (I go with him being a tit).

he way to achive this is simple
user dials extn 201
user hangs up.

if they need a single button to automate that then they are probably the only person in existence with a -ve IQ!

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Here's the full answer from Avaya IP Office™ Platform Short Code and Button Action Reference

Display Msg Allows the sending of text messages to digital phones on the local system.

Telephone Number: The telephone number takes the format N";T" where: • N is the target extension. • T is the text message. Note that the "; before the text and the " after the text are required.

Default Short Code: No
Programmable Button Control: Displ

Example Below is a sample of the short code setup. When used, the target extension will hear a single ring and then see the message. If the target extension is on a call then may need to scroll the display to a free call appearance in order to see the text message.

Short Code: *78*N#
Feature: Display Msg
Telephone Number: N";Visitor in Reception"

RE: Bip function IP Office

Give you a star for that answer..

Could be useful to alert a doctor of the next patient arriving.

This please.... star for you.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

RE: Bip function IP Office

Snowman we use it to send flirt messages from one colleague to another - its funny as they don't get on that well :)
