!Invalid Ref

(OP)
Hello,

So I have a client that is having an issue dialing two Local Numbers from the IPO. When they attempt to make the outbound call, the 9508 displays "Incompatible". The call works fine from their cell phone.

I decided to watch SSA as they make the call again and I am seeing "!Invalid Ref" as the Destination.

What is even stranger is that I am seeing it all over SSA. I have never seen this error before. Thoughts?

RE: !Invalid Ref

It would be better to get a monitor trace to see what they are dialing and what the system is doing with it.

Hi AACon,

I did a trace, below is what I have that I believe to be relevant to the call. The Red Highlighted Number is what they are having an issue calling:

RE: !Invalid Ref

Are they supposed to dial the US prefix (1) ?

But it seems like you didn't get the whole trace, you only got to the "Proceeding" message, should come something else after that.
And please post traces as attached files.

RE: !Invalid Ref

Think the issue is that it adds 51 to your CLI, probably gets blocked by the provider.
Check your lines prefix settings.

RE: !Invalid Ref

Close and reopen system status. You will no longer see this upon reopening. This is a bug that I have dealt with a handful of times.

janni78: It is only happening on two numbers they try and call. All the rest of outbound works fine. And they dial 500-1000 times out a day.

RE: !Invalid Ref

That makes me think that it is on the far end.
Are they supposed trunks at the other end that maybe send a wrong message.

Westi: I am not sure what you mean "Are they supposed trunks at the other end that maybe send a wrong message."

RE: !Invalid Ref

Try changing your Nsi in the calling number field to Ns - could be the call type that is causing the issue. Seems odd that it only affects two numbers, but its worth a shot, unless the si is required to make all calls go out.
