Want to check last active status of the phone

Want to check last active status of the phone

(OP)
Hi,

We have Digital/Analog phones configured in our system (Media-Modules) some of those are out-of-service, As we are running out of license want to remove those stations before that need to check the last active status of the phone's.

Please Help, Thanks in Advance.

RE: Want to check last active status of the phone

Unless you have intra-switch CDR on, CM won't log CDR from the endpoint level for you to know which extensions are calling/being called.

Analog stations will always appear "idle/on-hook or disconnected" because an analog port doesn't know the difference. There's probably a maintenance test that would let you know if the port is connected to something but I've never needed to look.

Digital stations will show up in your alarms as "warnings" and the time they went out of service. Now, that can go as far back as to the last time the software loaded up/the system was reset. So, if you haven't rebooted your CM in a few years, those warnings can go back a long way. If you rebooted your system yesterday at 9PM, all those disconnected digital ports will be disconnected since yesterday at 902PM

One way I used in the past is to busy out the extension. Wait 2 to three weeks if no one complains delete. Only down side is it's vacation time so some users could be out of the office.

1a2 to ip I seen it all

RE: Want to check last active status of the phone

display errors type is 513, this will show you all out of service phones, also on an analog phone do a test station xxx if test 48 fails then the phone is unplugged also make sure the maintenance test is set to yes before you run the test.

RE: Want to check last active status of the phone

Where are the error type 513 messages displayed?

How do I perform the 48 Test?

Thanks

RE: Want to check last active status of the phone

on the "display errors" form then filter on the specific error type

ACSS (UC/SBCE/SM/SME)

Not that they mean a thing anymore , get a brain dump pass the test crash the system.

RE: Want to check last active status of the phone

test station xxx if it's an analog and it's unplugged then it will fail test 48
