Fax Poor Line Condition

Fax Poor Line Condition

(OP)
AVAYA CM S8700 R6 G450
Fax
Extension: 1981
Type: fax
Port: 001v302
Name: Fax Room 128

NG: POOR LINE CONDITION

What can I check?

Thanks!

RE: Fax Poor Line Condition

fax from or to station 1981 using another fax on a station. (internal station test)

receive fax on incoming trunk to 1981

send fax outbound call from 1981

These test calls may isolate bad DID or outbound trunks.

Completed Station to Station OK
receive fax on incoming trunk to 1981
Completed Fax from External Site to 1981 OK
send fax outbound call from 1981
Poor Line Condition

Eventually sending fax will complete after several attempts

Is there a setting baud rate for sending fax in AVAYA?

Thanks!

RE: Fax Poor Line Condition

when you duplicate the issue making an outbound call, status station 1981 and see what trunk
your are connected to. Sounds like one or more trunks in you outbound trunk-group have bad enough
voice quality to affect your faxes. Busy out the bad ones, then get Telco to fix the trunk circuits.
If you have PRI for outbound, use those trunks instead of copper trunks for faxing.
