CONTOLLER CARD ISSUES

CONTOLLER CARD ISSUES

(OP)
HI. MERIDIAN OPTION 81C TOOK ALARMS FROM AN AT&T RACK FOR 12 HOURS (AT&T RACK HAD POWER ISSUES AND COULDN'T RECOVER UNTIL TECHS WORKED ON IT, FINE NOW) BUT NOW 2 COLUMNS DOWN, COLUMN 4 TRIPPED BREAKER AT BACK BY FANS. RESET AND POWER UP BUT CONTROLLER CARDS ARE FLASHING C 0 0 0 VICE THE NUMBERS ASSOCIATED TO THE LOOP. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE XPE NUMBERS TO DISABLE AND RE-ENABLE TO SEE IF IT WILL COME UP AND CAN'T DISABLE AND THEN REPLACE CONTROLLER CARD AND RE-ENABLE. IS THERE A COMMAND TO SHOW THAT.
CLOSE TO 1900 WORKING EXT AND ONLY HALF OF THEM WORKING. REPLACED POWER CARDS AND PERSIG CARD AND HAVE REMAINED GREEN FOR SEVERAL HOURS NOW. LOOP SAYS IT IS IN ENABLED (LINE CARDS ALL RED), TRIED TO DISABLE ONE PORT IN LOOP AND IT SAYS XPEC DSBL
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

RE: CONTOLLER CARD ISSUES

It sounds as if the controller card will need to be disabled and then enabled again to sync all the cards in that particular chelf. You might need to look in LD 97 against the XPE area to find your controller number.

THANKS!

RE: CONTOLLER CARD ISSUES

You could try reseating some of the extension cards. I think it would be worthwhile looking at the history file as this should give you clues.

RE: CONTOLLER CARD ISSUES

THANKS ALL, SO THE ONLY PROBLEM REMAINING NOW IS CC OR CLOCK PROBLEM.
PRI LOOP 18 IS DOWN, SWAPPED PRI CARDS AND STILL DOWN.
I ALSO HAVE MANY SLIPS ON ALL PRIS AND T1S

WHEN I SSCK 1, I GET THE FOLLOWING
DTI205 1 1
CHANGE CC FROM UNEQ TO 1 1 ? Y/N (N)

I HAVE NOT ANSWERED YES, I'VE REVIEWED THE POSTS AND I DON'T SEE WHERE ANYONE ANSWERED THIS.
DO HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT KIND OF RESULTS I MIGHT GET BY ANSWER YES?

THANKS

RE: CONTOLLER CARD ISSUES

Sometimes you need to disable the CC and then force it to clock again.

RE: CONTOLLER CARD ISSUES

(OP)
THE CC CARD SHOULD BE IN STANDBY WHEN IT IS DISABLED CORRECT. I'VE NEVER REPLACED A CLOCK CARD BEFORE, A BIT HESITANT.
ADDITIONALLY, SWITH HAS A CORE ISSUE, I'M NO LONGER ABLE TO GRACEFULLY SWITCH DURING MIDNIGHT ROUTINES, SO ALWAYS
CONCERNED THAT THE NEXT TIME THERE IS AN INI, THE SWITCH WON'T COME UP....
NEW SYSTEM WON'T BE INSTALLED UNTIL AUGUST THIS YEAR.

AGAIN APPRECIATE THE FEEDBACK
THANKS!
